And then as if a team tournament wasn’t exciting enough – we have additional extra special rules to make this one of the most exciting COSH ever ...

Each team consists of two players one of which will be the Captain one of which will be the Minion. You will play all your matches together. While you can share tactics and ideas at the start of the match once a game has begun the only information you can share is the likely outcome of your match and what result you would like your team mate to play for. Making suggestions, sharing plays, or calculating the probability of success of an action all count as coaching which is banned – until the game ends you are alone (excepting of course rules questions).

After the first drive finishes you may at the start of each following drive field up to 0-3 of the linemen of your team mate, this does not allow to to exceed 11 players on the pitch. The Captain has a veto on this action and his decision is final, however if he allows his Minion to field his players or vice versa then the decision can’t be reversed until the end of the drive in which the loaner linemen are playing.

Most importantly as they have been drafted mid match the loaner linemen are somewhat disorientated – They gain The Loner (3+) rule and lose the use of any extra skills they have been given while they play for the other team.

Team work makes the dream work – for example:

Courtney and I are playing Lizardmen and Orcs respectively, He has 12 Lizards and I have 13 Orcs. After the first drive for Courtney he has suffered four casualties leaving him to defend with just 8 players, So as Captain I allow him to field my two spare Orc linemen – one has kick skill and he loses this while on Courtney’s team and both linemen gain loner (3+). Then disaster strikes – my opponent removes three of my Orcs and decides to score early knowing I no longer have access to my reserves – now I am down to 8 players to try and equalise! I will have to make a tough decision at the start of Courtney’s next drive to determine how many if any of my linemen I wil allow him to field as I now also need them – and we both ideally need to win!

The individual scoring system will be:

30/15/0 W/D/L with 1 Bonus point per TD/CAS up to a maximum of 3 in each category.
Team scores will be individual scores combined.

All Casualties you cause count - so Crowd Surfs and Fouls do count but failed dodges do not.

Tiebreakers in order will be (combined): Strength of Schedule, Net TD's, Net Cas, Penalty shoot out (dice)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There will be prizes for the following:

Top Team (1stt)
Runner Up Team (2nd)
Most Team Touchdowns
Most Team Casualties
Stunty Team Cup (Even if uncontested – both teams must be stunty)
Woodenspoon Team (Last place)
Rustmonster Award - for exceptional sportsmanship in the game (commemorative award)(individual award)
