ScoreBB is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
The short version: we collect only what's necessary to run the platform, we don't sell your data, and we don't use invasive tracking.
Data We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address - Used for login, password resets, and tournament notifications
- Display name - Shown publicly on tournament pages and standings
- NAF number (optional) - Used to link your account with NAF tournament data
Tournament Data
When you participate in or organise tournaments, we store:
- Tournament registrations and roster submissions
- Game results and scores
- Tournament settings and preferences (for organisers)
This data is necessary for the core functionality of the platform.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how people use ScoreBB. Umami does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect personal information. All data is aggregated and anonymised.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the ScoreBB service
- To send tournament-related notifications (if you've opted in)
- To respond to support requests
- To detect and prevent abuse
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Tournament data - Your display name, team, and results are visible to other participants and may be exported to NAF for sanctioned events
- Service providers - We use trusted services for hosting and email delivery, who process data only on our behalf
- Legal requirements - If required by law
Data Retention
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Tournament data is retained indefinitely to maintain historical records. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us.
